Today is my birthday, and I find myself thinking about the people who make a difference without drawing much attention to themselves.
The colleague who notices a problem early. The person who prepares the room before anyone arrives. The one who checks on a new team member, fixes a detail, or helps an event run smoothly.
Much of that work disappears into a successful day. People experience its benefit without knowing who made it possible.
As I begin another year, I want to get better at noticing and naming those contributions.
