A team submits a proposal. A week passes with no response.

Are they approved to proceed? Should they revise it? Has anyone read it?

When people receive no update, they have to guess where things stand.

You may not have a decision yet. You can still say:

“I’ve reviewed the proposal. I need one more conversation before I can decide. I’ll update you Thursday.”

A short update will not remove the delay. It can keep others from losing days to uncertainty.

Who is waiting on an answer from you, even if the answer is simply when they will hear back?
